Furniture Installer / Delivery Driver

Description:

You will be responsible for the safe delivery and assembly of furniture to our customers’ homes, working in a team of two. The successful applicant will hold a full clean UK driving licence and have a flexible attitude towards working in a small but busy work environment. This role involves moving large furniture into and around customers properties and our warehouse, in a safe and careful manner. A good level of fitness and a calm, problem solving attitude are a must. A good understanding of furniture assembly or DIY knowledge is preferred.

Though this is a driving and installation position, duties will include:

• Driving a 3.5 tonne van in a safe and professional manor
• Communicating well with colleagues and customers
• Following company processes and procedures
• Communicating with the customers
• Ensuring goods are delivered safely whilst protecting yourself and your colleague from injury, protecting the goods being delivered and the customer’s home
• Loading, unloading and securing goods for transport
• Accepting payment and cash handling
• Dealing professionally and constructively with any issues that arise on site
• Managing daily workload and keeping the working environment (Van and Warehouse) safe and tidy
• Warehouse and shop duties are also involved with this role and the successful candidate would be expected to work in these environments
