Responsibilities

As a Functional Safety Engineer, the successful candidate will be part of a team developing GPUs targeted towards the automotive market. As a team we build and verify GPUs containing various hardware safety mechanisms aimed at enabling our customers to reach a defined ASIL level and ISO26262 certification. To achieve this we develop processes and methodologies both on the systematic and diagnostic side and work alongside other experts within Arm on common automotive strategies. Your role will involve applying the Functional Safety development process and providing the required support to our design engineers.

Required Skills And Experience
 

  • Familiar with ISO26262 processes for HW or SW development
  • Involvement with FMEDA and other functional safety analysis techniques
  • An understanding of RTL development and verification methodologies
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent English both, verbal and written.
     

“Nice To Have” Skills And Experience
 

  • Experience with safety planning tools.
  • Working knowledge of fault simulation tools.
  • RTL coding experience.
  • Hands-on experience with advanced verification techniques such as UVM.
  • Master’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other relevant subject areas.
