We have partnered with a Private Equity backed scale-up that operates in 3 continents worldwide. They are a leader in their field and have an immediate requirement for a fractional Financial Controller to join their UK team.
As their fractional Financial Controller you will report into the Group CFO and play a critical role in overseeing the day to day financial reporting of the business. This position is responsible for managing financial reporting, group consolidating, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Experience you will gain:
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Responsible for group consolidation for 10 entities internationally
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (i.e. US GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements in financial reporting
- Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting activities
- Collaborate with all stakeholders to develop budgets and forecasts that align with strategic goals and objectives
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including profitability analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and investment analysis
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and processes to support efficient and accurate financial operations
What background should you have before you press apply!
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Worked in a tech high-growth start-up or scale-up internationally ideally within Manufacturing and/or SaaS
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, VAT, and financial analysis techniques.
- Proficient in financial modelling, group consolidating, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Experienced with ERP systems and financial reporting tools (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or Netsuite).
