Financial Controller

Description:

Our client is large privately owned UK based business with a revenue of c£175million

The ideal candidate will manage a Finance team and deliver the day to day financial management and reporting of the finance operation.

The opportunity will also encourage the successful candidate to identify areas for business and process improvement, as well as streamlining and automating where possible.

The role will report into, and work closely with the Finance Director, on day to day finance as well as commercial finance and strategy

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operational finance team
• Assist with financial planning and analysis
• Oversee Budget forecasting and cash flow management
• Ensure the right processes and controls are in place and the business is compliant
• Support and manage the timely delivery of accurate reporting and statutory and year end accounts, VAT returns, including audits, bank reconcilliations, and the monthly balance sheet preparation, cashflow planning and forecasting
• Financial modelling
• Develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

• ACCA/ACA
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years experience in the area
• Proficiency with current financial software including Power BI
