Description:
We are currently seeking a Financial Controller to join our client's organisation based in Swanley. As the Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of the company.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the company's financial activities, including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Provide strategic insights and analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise financial performance and drive business growth.
- Lead the preparation of financial statements and reports for management and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end close processes.
- Supervise a team of financial professionals to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Payroll and Pension Support, Journal preparation , Balance Sheet Reconciliations, supporting Tenders and Business plans
- Assisting with ensuring VAT, Construction Industry Scheme, PAYE Compliance
Requirements
- Professional qualification such as ACCA or CIMA
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
- Construction experience would be extremely advantageous
- Advanced Excel and experience with accounting software
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
