You’ll have the opportunity to drive the continuous improvement of the in-house finance function – from taking care of the day-to-day running of the finances and contributing towards its future growth and development. Working closely with the senior management team, you will enable the organisation to continue its next stage of growth. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to use your analytical ability to understand the ‘Why?’ and apply your commercial acumen to answer ‘What if?’ questions, analyse problems, evaluate alternatives and suggest solutions as well as take care of the day-to-day.

The role

• Delivery and preparation of monthly management accounts and key financial reports
• Working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions to support the organisation and facilitate growth
• Investigating and explaining variances
• Budget preparation
• Owning year-end accounting processes in preparation for statutory audit
• Daily cash management and cash analysis, presented to management on a weekly basis
• Treasury management – maximising payment terms and preserving cash
• Continuous improvement and control of business systems, providing insight and challenge to fellow senior managers
