Financial Accounting Analyst

An international well-known Energy Group are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team. The business is involved in multiple sustainability projects and are keen to have a proactive and driven individual to assist with these. With flexi-working, you will be part of the Group Finance team, with access to many development opportunities.

The business is big on promoting within, and this role would suit someone looking to get further industry exposure, having Qualified in an Accountancy practice and already made their first industry move.

Core Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and group adjustments.
• Ensure accurate records are maintained.
• Key contact for auditors, assisting with both interim and year-end deliverables.
• Assist with the preparation of the Group Annual report, including board packs.
• Continue to refine and maintain existing procedures/practices.
• Provide ad hoc support on sustainability projects
• Work closely with the FP&A team, preparing budgets and forecasts.

Key skills and experience required:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with PQE ideally in industry
• Audit background preferred.
• Experience of group consolidation.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems preferred.
