Description:
The Financial Accountant role will support the monthly and quarterly financial and management reporting for ODEON UK&I, as well as external reporting, budget setting and ad hoc support for the business.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for UK&I statutory reporting obligations, including production of UK&I Statutory Accounts and audit, with the support of the Finance Manager.
- Monthly and Quarterly intercompany accounting between UK&I and the rest of the Odeon group.
- Complete monthly P&L and balance sheet reporting for various operating expenses of the UK&I trading business, interrogating financial data.
- Assist the Finance Manager in further aspects of financial accounting and management reporting as part of the monthly and quarterly reporting cycle.
- Provide ad-hoc financial guidance to support the wider business.
- Ensure that Sox controls are operated effectively. Work with internal audit and external audit in the testing of these areas.
- Ensure the delivery of production of high quality management and financial information in a timely manner
- Supply relevant accounting information to the Group team for the production of ODEON Cinemas Group consolidated accounts
- Working closely with key members of the Finance team, wider UK&I Finance and AMC/Group Finance functions
Key Skills:
- ACA /ACCA /CIMA fully qualified with experience.
- Excellent communication skills, with a proven track record of building relationships outside of the Finance function and dealing with external auditors.
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills with an ability to then confidently work with external partners and Finance and non-Finance people within ODEON.
- Self motivated, keen to achieve targets, focuses on results and have proven record of successful delivery of objectives.
- Experience in Microsoft packages required and Oracle financial systems preferred.
- Flexible and hard working with a can do attitude.
- Able to demonstrate ownership and personal responsibility.
