Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance/FP&A Manager to join a leading EV Charging Infrastructure group based in London, with operations spanning across the globe. This is a fantastic role for a technically strong finance professional who wants to work at the forefront of the renewable energy and green technology sector.
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of statutory accounting expertise, financial reporting skills, and FP&A experience, along with the ability to manage relationships with joint venture partners and contribute to strategic financial planning and process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Statutory Accounting: Oversee the preparation and submission of statutory accounts for all entities, ensuring compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Financial Reporting: Lead the quarterly financial reporting process for joint venture board meetings, acting as the primary liaison for JV partners.
- Audit Management: Serve as the main point of contact for both internal and external auditors, ensuring timely resolution of audit issues.
- Month-end, Quarter-end, and Year-end Closing: Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes, ensuring all internal and external deadlines are met.
- Tax Compliance: Oversee the preparation and submission of VAT and Duty figures to external advisors for HMRC returns.
- Cash Flow Management: Actively monitor cash flow across all assets, ensuring adequate liquidity to meet debt repayments and preparing liquidity forecasts.
- Process & System Improvement: Support finance transformation initiatives, contributing to system enhancements and ensuring alignment between operational processes and financial reporting requirements.
- Technical Accounting Leadership: Drive the adoption of new accounting standards, ensuring correct and consistent implementation across the group.
- Management Information: Present insightful financial information to senior management, with a focus on key performance metrics, including manufacturing plant performance, logistics costs, customer profitability, and product costing.
Requirements:
- Degree educated with a professional accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
- FP&A experience is essential, ideally within a multinational or complex business environment.
- Experience in Joint Venture accounting would be highly desirable.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to provide clear direction and drive performance.
- Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement focus, identifying and delivering process enhancements.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other key financial systems.
