Description:
As a Finance Plant Controller, you will be a valued member of the finance team, responsible for supporting financial operations at our manufacturing sites.
You will support the Finance Business Partner in ensuring that the business has the timely and accurate information necessary for informed decision making within the manufacturing sites, proposing recommendations on improvements to existing process and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Cost Management and Optimisation:
- Conduct in-depth cost analysis to identify areas to optimize costs, cost reduction and improve operational efficiencies.
- Act as a co-pilot with operational teams to understand and influence cost drivers.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with regional requirements.
- Support both the Corporate and Business teams with internal control processes specific to the Operations function.
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee the accuracy and efficiency of inventory management processes.
- Provide recommendations for inventory control to minimize losses and optimize working capital.
- Collaborate with operational teams to reconcile physical inventory counts.
- Standard Costing:
- Improve and maintain standard costing processes for the manufacturing sites.
- Establish and update standard costs for materials, labour and overhead.
- Make suggestions on improvements to existing process & procedures around cost analysis, standard costing process, budgeting, and inventory management.
- Financial Planning and Strategy:
- Lead the financial planning process for manufacturing and supply chain operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial and ad-hoc analysis in collaboration with plant management team in coordination with regional Finance and Ops teams.
- Support Finance Business Partner and plant Management team with financial insights to support decision making and drive efficiencies at the manufacturing site level.

- Provide support and guidance to the manufacturing and supply chain operations.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, development, and high performance.
Requirements
- Accounting Experience - The successful candidate will be a hands-on, operationally oriented finance executive with a proven track record in food manufacturing-based environments. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in accounting / finance roles within manufacturing environment.
- Functional Expertise - This individual should possess excellent financial skills, with the ability to detect trends from financial statements and provide analysis to company managers to improve their decision-making ability.
- Systems Experience - Expert level skills with MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Additional ability to navigate and extract data from ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics), data warehouses, and BI reporting.
- Education - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CIMA designation preferred.
