Finance Director

Description:

As Finance Director, you’ll lead our financial strategy during one of the most exciting chapters in our evolution. You’ll work closely with the CEO, Treasurer, and Board to shape our financial future, ensuring the Club is positioned to thrive in the years ahead.

You’ll also act as CFO for Welsh Fire, working to maximise investment opportunities and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including the ECB, Welsh Government, and Cardiff City Council.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the finance team and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting.
• Develop and execute the Club’s financial strategy, including forecasting, budgeting, and revenue generation (The Hundred capital, stadium naming rights, etc.).
• Manage key relationships with stakeholders like the ECB, Welsh Fire investors, Welsh Government, and Cardiff City Council.
• Oversee governance, compliance, and risk management, acting as Club Secretary and supporting the Finance, Risk, and Audit Committee.
• Guide investment decisions and the Club’s estate development strategy.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Accountant with 10+ years of experience in finance leadership roles.
