Finance Business Partner

 

Description:

The Finance Business Partner will play a key role in supporting the financial operations within a leading Multi Academy Trust. This includes collaborating with schools to manage budgeting, financial reporting, analysis, and payroll reconciliation, while ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The role will also support the induction of new schools into the trust’s financial processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with schools to prepare annual and multi-year budgets.
  • Support the creation of monthly management accounts, forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Produce financial reports for headteachers, governors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Participate in procurement projects to ensure value for money.
  • Support the induction of new schools into financial processes and systems.

Person Specification:

  • Qualifications: CCAB/CIMA qualified/part-qualified, or willing to work towards qualification
  • Experience: Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and reporting. Competence in financial software and Microsoft Office.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail. Ability to analyse financial data and present findings clearly.
  • Personal Attributes: A collaborative approach, commitment to safeguarding, and continuous professional development.
