Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and experience in purchase ledger? We have an opportunity for you to join a Plymouth based world renowned organisation, covering purchase ledger, payroll data administration and transactional finance. As the Finance Assistant you'll be an integral part of our client's finance team, working closely with the Finance Manager and contributing to the organisations success.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and up-to-date maintenance of the Purchase Ledger using Sage.
  • Process payments to suppliers and staff in adherence to Financial Procedures, keeping meticulous records.
  • Input payroll data, generate reports, and process salary payments after approval.
  • Monitor payment schedules, ensuring invoices are settled promptly, and notify management about any credit control concerns.
  • Assist in ad hoc tasks essential for the smooth operation of the accounts department.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in accounting principles and excellent numerical skills.
  • Experience in purchase ledger maintenance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and keen attention to detail.
