Description:
Role Overview: I am seeking a dynamic Field Engineer to join my client's team based in Lancing. The role involves providing onsite support, installations, and helpdesk backup, ensuring the clients receive exceptional service. Regular travel within a 2-hour radius of Lancing is required, both by road and rail.
Responsibilities:
• Provide onsite support and installations for desktops, laptops, and IT equipment.
• Backup the helpdesk when not onsite, assisting customers over the phone.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and telephone communication skills.
• Support Microsoft Office suite and 365 products.
• Basic support and administrative experience with Windows Server and Microsoft Exchange.
• Configure firewall/router settings and troubleshoot network issues.
• Maintain detailed job records and accurately document support tickets.
• Work collaboratively as part of the helpdesk team, assisting with ticket management.
• Prioritize tasks and work well under pressure.
• Maintain a 'can do' attitude while prioritizing wellbeing and professionalism.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in 1st and 2nd line technical support.
• Experience in onsite hardware and software installations.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Good time management and enthusiasm.
• Attention to detail and self-motivation.
• Full UK driving license.
• Ideally, at least one Microsoft certification module.
