What you'll be doing:You’ll be focussed on delivering compliance, planned maintenance, reactive repairs, plus project work for our in-hand estate. Building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders will be key including National Trust staff and volunteers from local sites as well as regional and national specialists and contractors. You’ll be able to clearly communicate the essential elements of your work and influence and persuade others to support your approach. The ability to build relationships alongside a strong technical background in Hard FM will be critical to the success of this role
You'll:
- Work with: Facilities Managers, Facilities and Support Services Managers, Building Surveyor and Property Leadership Teams across the Lakes cluster
- Use our building management software – Property System – to manage our assets. Including working with Central teams to ensure the data we hold is accurate, up-to-date, and organised in the best way.
- Co-ordinate the cluster of Facilities teams in the Lakes, working with the regional Senior Facilities Manager to ensure great communicate between teams
- Work with Regional Contract Managers to bring in great Contractor Partners to assist in looking after our assets efficiently and sustainably.
- Be a key contact for Commercial teams and area managers ensuring the same standard are being met in all parts of the business.
- Work collaboratively with the 4 FM Property Roles and their teams to identify and deliver efficiencies and innovation at a cluster level. To maximise effective use of our resource, and drive improved overall compliance to look after our places.
Who we're looking forWe would love to hear from you if you:
- have strong people skills and have proven ability to build strong relationships and understand the importance of collaboration
- have an understanding of facilities management and maintenance requirements, and are a strong team player, can work with compromise and understands the importance of supporting colleagues
- can understand how to prioritise work with experience of broad compliance and risk management, including knowledge of Health & Safety, CDM regulations, Emergency procedures and Fire & Security procedures
- have a desire to make a difference, show initiative and contribute to the core values of the Trust
- have experience of managing budgets, finances, projects and contracts/contractors
- have advanced IT skills.
