Boden Group Recruitment has partnered exclusively with ABBA Voyage to source a permanent Venue Facilities Manager for their world-leading and groundbreaking venue in London.
The key requirements of this role will be to oversee all maintenance, repairs, and statutory compliance of the Arena and ensure that all operational and life-critical systems are fully functional at all times.
So, you'll be looking after the Venue, but what exactly does that entail?
Here's an idea:
- Act as the conduit for information and decision-making, liaising extremely closely with our onsite facilities management (IFM) partner delivering both hard and soft FM on site.
- Working closely with Production and Visitor Services departments to ensure that ABBA Voyage is delivered seamlessly at all performances and that best-in-class customer experience is at the forefront of everything we do. You will have robust health and safety knowledge to help ensure the functionality, comfort, safety, sustainability and efficiency of our unique venue for all who work here and come to experience ABBA Voyage.
- Working as part of the Technical Director’s team, support the strategy, planning and delivery of specific projects, including capital investment.
- Lead on all aspects of hard and soft facilities management (IFM) at the ABBA Arena, London.
- Develop and ensure, with the sub-contractor Facilities Management Technical Lead, that statutory and non-statutory compliance is maintained across all site and venue assets and operations.
- Take all reasonable steps to ensure that no building fabric or venue assets cause any hazards to safety or health of public, workers or artists.

What are we looking for in a suitable candidate?
- Health and Safety competency with a minimum of an IOSH (NEBOSH desirable.
- Someone who has proven experience leading on hard and soft services.
- Leadership experience managing teams and overseeing contractors.
- Experience in managing event spaces with critical technology and engineering.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding.
- Demonstrable experience in aspects of front-line response with regards to damage and faults across the site and venue.
- Experience managing relationships with, and delivering operations through subcontractors.
- Experience leading and influencing multiple teams with many different working patterns and environments, driving collaboration.
