Exam Invigilator

Description:

Outwood Academy Freeston, a valued member of the Outwood Grange Academies Trust, is seeking to appoint Exam Invigilators to support the smooth, secure, and compliant running of examination sessions. Located in Normanton, Wakefield, this secondary academy serves students aged 11–16 and is proud of its inclusive, supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting up examination rooms and ensuring all materials and documentation are prepared

• Supervising students during examinations in line with JCQ and school regulations

• Ensuring students adhere to exam rules and protocols

• Reading or scribing for students with special requirements

• Collecting exam papers and ensuring accurate recording and delivery post-exam

• Maintaining exam room integrity and supporting students in a calm and professional manner

Candidate Requirements:

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to follow strict procedures

• Punctual, reliable, and professional with strong interpersonal skills

• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage a room of students

• Ability to work flexible hours depending on the exam schedule

• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

• Must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and reference checks
