Event Administrator

 

Description:

TAG is looking for an Event Administrator (Student Placement) to join its dynamic Events team in London. This one-year paid placement provides hands-on experience in event planning, administration, and client management. Working closely with the Event Director and team, you will support key administrative tasks and help manage small event projects under supervision.

This role is ideal for students who are passionate about events and hospitality, looking to gain real-world experience while working in a fast-paced, global events company.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Administration: Support the Events team with planning, proposals, bookings, and delegate management
Communication & Client Support: Answer emails, respond to inquiries, and organize action lists within client inboxes
Supplier & Resource Management: Monitor stock levels and maintain the Events UK Supplier Library
Finance Support: Process invoices and assist with finance-related tasks
Project Coordination: Work on small event bookings and projects with supervision
Creative Proposal Development: Assist in researching, writing, and designing proposals tailored to client needs
On-Site Event Support: Help manage events by overseeing administrative elements and key resources
Supplier Relations: Build strong relationships to ensure excellent service and value for money
Reporting & Documentation: Prepare accurate reports for clients and internal use
Industry Learning & Development: Attend trade shows, supplier presentations, and networking events to enhance industry knowledge

Other Responsibilities:

📌 Use reminder tools to manage tasks and communicate workload concerns to management
📌 Support marketing initiatives and collaborate with other divisions at TAG
📌 Identify cross-divisional business opportunities and report them to management
📌 Represent TAG professionally and maintain its reputation for high service standards
📌 Participate in company initiatives, brainstorm ideas, and contribute to team improvements

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Partial completion of a relevant degree (Events, Hospitality, Business, or related field)
Some experience in events or hospitality (paid, voluntary, or work placement)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong communication and organizational skills
Customer-facing experience in client services or hospitality
Ambitious, proactive, and eager to learn from experienced Event Managers

Work Environment & Location:

📍 Location: London Head Office, Queens Park
🌍 Collaboration: Work with regional teams in the US, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore
🕒 Flexible Work Schedule: Occasionally required to work outside office hours to support international events & teams
