Event Administrator

 

Description:

Athena is the Midlands' leading events venue, hosting a wide range of events, including award dinners, music and dance shows, conferences, weddings, and Christmas parties. We are a growing and successful company with an exciting opportunity for an Event Administrator to join our expanding team on a full-time basis. As part of our small but dynamic team, you will be involved in all aspects of our events in-house.

Your Role:

• Provide excellent customer service from the initial enquiry through to arranging site visits.

• Create table plans and event schedules.

• Coordinate meal allocations and ensure clear communication of special dietary needs (training will be provided).

• Liaise with clients and internal teams (such as bars, catering, and technical departments) to ensure all client needs are met effectively.

• Perform general office duties as required.

• Co-ordinate and manage customer information and requests

The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective multitasking skills, enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and an excellent telephone and written manner.

 

Requirements:

Exceptional organisational skills

A professional and friendly telephone manner

Ability to work well under pressure

High standard of PC skills to include office applications word, excel ppt, as well as canva or similar

Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written

Previous experience in a hospitality environment is advantageous
