Description:
Espinar Equine, a specialized ambulatory equine practice founded in 2018, is seeking a passionate and confident equine veterinarian to join our growing team. Our mission is to provide exceptional lameness and performance care for horses, with a focus on diagnostics and orthopaedic services.
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will play a crucial role in delivering first-opinion general practice services, while also having opportunities to engage in specialized lameness and performance cases. You will work closely with our friendly team and be supported by an ISELP-certified member, ensuring a collaborative and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality equine veterinary care, including lameness and performance evaluations.
- Conduct upper airway endoscopies, gastroscopies, intra-articular injections, and routine care such as vaccinations and dental procedures.
- Perform or assist in surgical procedures, including field general anaesthesia castrations and standing surgeries like enucleations.
- Handle emergency cases and pre-purchase vettings as part of the practice's ambulatory services.
- Collaborate with team members to improve practice operations and client experience.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
- MRCVS certification (or eligibility to register).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an equine veterinary role.
- Strong clinical confidence and ability to manage cases independently.
- Excellent communication skills with both clients and colleagues.
Desirable:
- Experience with diagnostic imaging.
- Digital literacy and willingness to embrace AI-based technologies for diagnostics.
