Enterprise Risk Manager

 

Description:

This role in the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team reports directly to the Head of ERM and provides specialist risk expertise, coordination and analysis, supporting the business with its risk management activities.

Working cross-functionally with a variety of stakeholders to enable the achievement of business outcomes, coaching colleagues on more complex areas of risk and gathering and interrogating data from across the business to determine risk profile and provide reporting in a meaningful way. Employing softer skills enabling those colleagues to develop the right level of subject matter expertise in order to self-serve and support the future growth of the business.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, passionate about what they do and can communicate risk concepts into simple language for the business to easily digest. Candidates will be experienced in enterprise risk management and stakeholder liaison, whether from the telecoms industry or elsewhere, ideally with a financial services background, and a proficient user of MS Office applications, particularly Excel.

 

DUTIES

  • Work without supervision to support the business in understanding, identifying, assessing, prioritizing and managing risk; providing technical guidance and challenge to the business when required.
  • Co-ordinate risk reviews and status updates with relevant stakeholders.
  • Centrally track risks from across the business – providing a cross-Directorate view, tracking and following up on overdue actions.
  • Manage risk registers, dashboards and reporting to provide a consolidated enterprise-wide perspective to determine relevant risk profiles.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance for the purpose of creating relevant, clear and effective management reports using various IT applications.
  • Be an advocate for great risk management, promoting the tools, techniques and disciplines to embed and develop the risk framework across the Company

 

Experience

  • You are a subject matter expert in risk identification, analysis, management and reporting with a keen understanding of key risk processes for both financial and non-financial risks
  • You have a relevant professional qualification in risk management
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication, influencing and facilitation skills as well as the confidence to deal with/challenge senior management. You are able to articulate complex risk concepts in a simple and relevant manner that anyone can understand.
  • You are a proficient user of MS Office applications, in particular Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience of Power BI would be an advantage.
  • You have outstanding interpersonal skills – are a team player, able to forge relationships, build consensus and influence decisions and work across business units and teams.
  • You have exceptional organizational skills, are able to manage multiple competing priorities without compromising on quality of outcomes, are detail oriented and have data analytics skills
  • You are a self-starter, resourceful, have the ability to work on your own initiative with a strong delivery focus
