Engineering Estimator

Engineering Estimator Required to work for a leading specialist organisation focused on fabrication, sheet metal work near Waterlooville. We are looking for an experienced Estimator due to an unprecedented amount of work coming through the business. This role could suit someone looking to move into estimating from the shop floor.

You will be required to work with the drawing office and understand engineering drawings and layouts, be able to Collaborate with internal engineering teams and relevant departments to ensure the project runs smoothly and the customer receives the best product, on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Produce quotations for new and existing customers.
• Communicate with customers to gain potential opportunities.
• Follow your projects from start to end, keeping in contact with relevant departments.
• Mange your customers' expectations and accounts accordingly
• Take off and produce Bills of Materials.
• Obtain and chase outstanding quotations.
• Manage contract related information flow.
• Contribute to compiling tender bid list.
• Develop an understanding of drawings and specifications.
• Develop a detailed knowledge of the company estimating system.
• Attend interviews and post tender discussion meetings

Requirements and Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings.
• Great Communication Skills
• Team-Player and Computer Literate

With experience or knowledge of any of the following disciplines:

• General Fabrication Experience
• Brake Press Experience
• Welding Experience
