Your tasks
- Assist in the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Management plan and monitor compliance with the plan.
- Maintain a register of accidents and injuries and providing an analysis of these in monthly meetings, identifying emerging OHS risks in the workplace.
- Involvement for new equipment to established that they are safe/stable and supporting good ergonomic design for operators. New projects review prior to introduction within plant, ensuring all HSEE topics are covered.
- Developing training programs on Health, Safety Environmental & Energy issues including hazard management, accident investigation, manual handling, and fire safety in liaison with the training team, energy savings, COSHH & dispose of hazardous waste.
- The control of contractors, ensuring that they understand their requirements/ duties.
- Assisting on projects and actions and ensure that agreed timelines are adhered to.
- Audits and Compliances, assist with the schedules, reporting of outcomes, documentation, and records
- Knowledge of COSHH & hazardous waste restrictions disposal
Your Profile
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety
- 3-5 years relevant work experience in Health and Safety in Manufacturing industry
- NEBOSH certificate
- Have a proven track record of improving health and safety culture within the business.
- Be able to multitask and support other departments
- Good communication and able to work independently and be confident in decision making.
- Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
