Our client, a renowned and admired manufacturing business of paper products, is currently hiring for a Contract Maintenance Planner to join their growing team.
Role and Responsibilities – Electrical Supervisor
- Supervising electrical shift technicians, day shift technicians, and instruments and controls engineers to ensure all work meets the highest standards and complies with regulations and standards.
- Planning, scheduling, and coordinating electrical work considering factors such as health and safety, customer demand, project time lines, and resource availability.
- Monitoring the progress of departmental work orders and projects, making necessary adjustments to schedules or work assignments as needed.
- Providing necessary training, resources, and support to team members to enhance their effectiveness.
- Monitoring team performance, identifying areas for improvement, and addressing any issues promptly.
- Ensuring all work aligns with contract requirements, legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
- Reviewing inspection and testing procedures and verifying completed works according to relevant certification.
- Conducting site health and safety checks and ensuring compliance with company procedures for documentation filing.
- Ensuring adherence to risk assessments and method statements.
- Participating in M&E Implementation Group Meetings.
- Managing, developing, and motivating direct reports, including performance assessment and disciplinary procedures in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Managing contractual terms within divisional budgets. Supporting planned maintenance activities and attending to breakdowns as required.
- Pro-actively preventing equipment failures and improving overall equipment performance through idea generation and implementation of modifications.
- Meeting agreed service levels, minimising downtime, and effectively communicating with relevant personnel.
- Ensuring service meets food packaging standards while maintaining housekeeping and personal hygiene standards.
- Maintaining and improving health and safety standards to create a safe work environment.
- Prioritising workload in consultation with appropriate personnel for the overall benefit of site performance.
Qualifications & Requirements- Electrical Supervisor
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance and supervision.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage teams effectively and drive performance.
- Knowledge of health and safety protocols and risk management.
- Familiarity with food packaging standards (preferred).
- Relevant certifications and training (e.g., electrical licenses, health and safety certifications).
