Description:
As a key member of our Technical Regulations team, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the future of electrical installation safety in the UK. You will support the development of BS 7671 (The IET Wiring Regulations) by managing and coordinating the activities of technical committees, both nationally and internationally. This includes organising meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and ensuring that agreed actions are completed. You’ll represent the IET on global standards committees, providing expert input to influence the development of regulations.
In addition, you will draft and revise technical papers, contribute to the maintenance and creation of IET publications, and provide guidance on BS 7671 to a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll also attend industry events, present seminars, and share your expertise through public speaking engagements and media requests. As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to write articles for our magazine, Wiring Matters, and collaborate with key figures in the electrical industry.
