Description:

Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB), a leader in the integrated design and build sector, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to impactful projects within the water industry. This role involves working on the feasibility, design, construction, and commissioning of water treatment systems, including both new technologies and legacy installations.

The successful candidate will be involved in designing electrical systems for water treatment equipment, working on Motor Control Centres, LV distribution systems, instrumentation, PLCs, SCADA systems, and more. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet client specifications, comply with industry standards, and are delivered within time and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design electrical engineering solutions for water treatment systems, including new technology and existing installations.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant design standards, including Client and WIMES standards.

  • Collaborate with the design team to meet project goals and deadlines.

  • Prepare technical specifications and schedules for procurement, review supplier bids, and manage technical submissions.

  • Engage with clients to understand their needs and maintain positive relationships.

  • Conduct site visits and review existing systems to determine how they can be integrated into new projects.

What You’ll Need:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • Experience working towards IEng / CEng status with a relevant Engineering Institution.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • A valid driving license and willingness to travel to sites across the UK.
