Description:

You will be responsible for performing a variety of duties involving ancillary and upgrade training, reports, testing, and special projects and a variety of outreach and customer services duties. You will serve as technical expert on a variety of educational programs and provide individual career, academic, and force development advisement to military personnel of all ranks, and/or civilian personnel pursuing undergraduate/graduate, vocational, technical, licensure/certification, and professional development opportunities at various levels. Your hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week on a Fixed schedule (Mon-Fri, 0800-1630) where start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with the organization’s flexible working policies.

About you:

You will have knowledge of education theories, principles, procedures, and practices of secondary, adult, or continuing education programs and their accrediting processes and of a variety of academic, occupational, vocational, and career development resources (educational and/or community). You will have the ability to interpret agencies’ directives, instructions, and guidance and make local decisions and recommendations based on analysis and to be able to gather, develop, and analyze a variety of data, to enable you to make recommendations based on analysis. You will be skilled in conducting interviews and delivery of formal and informal presentations and briefings.

Qualification requirements:

· This position requires knowledge of education principles and techniques, and the ability to use those techniques to gather educational and personal information in order to advise individuals regarding educational and vocational needs/opportunities; however, this position does not require professional education qualifications which would require a specific subject-matter standard.

· 1 year's experience that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

Other significant facts about the role:

You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period. Overtime may be required, and you may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent. You will observe 8 of the US Federal Holidays in lieu of UK Bank Holidays. You may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which include evenings and weekends. The Local National Direct Hire (LNDH) Program does not participate in regular drug testing, however positions covered by this document may be subject to drug testing upon reasonable suspicion of substance abuse, and safety mishap or accident testing.
