Job Details

 

Role:

  • To deliver company products to the customer in a safe and timely manner.
  • To abide by the laws governing road and vehicle use.
  • To abide by all company guidelines and MHRA requirements in relation to the delivery of company products.
  • To maintain high standards of customer care.
  • To maintain high personal standards to project a professional image of the company.
  • To act as representative of the company
  • To follow all H&S requirements to ensure their own safety and the safety of others.
  • Deliver goods accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with daily driving schedules to registered premises only obtaining proof of delivery at all manned premises.
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain vehicle roadworthiness.
  • Record and report all vehicle defects in a timely manner inc. nil defects.
  • Meet all legal requirements of the use of the highways. Comply with all EU, Domestic and WTD rules.
  • Act as an ‘Ambassador’ for the company when dealing with both customers and the public.
  • Record and report all damages in accordance with company policy.
  • Follows company policy and procedure regarding the correct, safe and accurate return of damaged goods from customers
  • Adhere to all company guidance and instructions in relation to the delivery and return of goods supplied by the company.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness with company vehicles to project a professional image.
  • Adhere to company standards regarding work wear and PPE.
  • Adhere to all H&S requirements in order to protect themselves, their colleagues and members of the public.
  • Correctly use all equipment supplied and maintain in a good condition.
  • Report any faults or issues with equipment in a timely manner e.g. Sack Truck, Nomad Boxes, Temperature Recording Equipment, PPE etc.
  • Take all reasonable precautions to safeguard the vehicle and its contents ensuring vehicles are locked when unattended.
  • Only allow as passenger’s employees of the company or persons authorised by the company. ·
  • Comply with all GDP requirements. ·
  • Attend all required company training including My Hr Portal as and when required. ·
  • Maintain strong links with both the Transport and Customer Service Departments.
  • Remain contactable, when at work, by ensuring the company provided phone is on and connected to ‘Bluetooth’. · Be flexible and react positively to changes within the business.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities and ensure start times are adhered to.
  • Follow company procedure for times of absence.
  • Follow company employment policy. ·
  • Ensure both Domestic, EU and WTD regulations are adhered to.

About you:

  • Drive like a professional – Good driving record and appropriate licence for the role
  • Maintaining concentration – Must be able to stay focused when driving and training for long periods.
  • Quality communication – There is a great deal of paperwork involved in training and driving. This must be accurate and timely.
  • Attention to detail – The little things make a big difference. Accurate and comprehensive record keeping is essential.
  • Customer care – The role requires you are not only the face of the business but of the department.
