Description:
We are seeking a skilled Director of AI to join an innovative BioTech company, where you'll lead a talented team of AI Scientists working on cutting-edge machine learning models. You will play a pivotal role in driving AI-driven solutions across LLMs, GenAI, NLP, and occasionally, Computer Vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a small, high-impact team in the design and development of AI models, with a focus on LLMs, GenAI, and NLP, alongside some Computer Vision work.
- Remain 40% hands-on, contributing to code reviews, implementing best practices, and coding as needed.
- Provide strategic advice to the VP of AI, staying at the forefront of AI advancements and LLM-driven technologies.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, delivering insights and reports based on key AI findings.
- Spearhead innovative AI research and deploy projects onto AI-driven platforms.

Skills and Experience
- MSc or PhD in a STEM or AI-related field.
- Strong expertise in Python, SQL, and experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Direct, hands-on experience with LLMs is essential.
- Previous experience in HealthTech, BioTech, or PharmaTech is a significant advantage, though not mandatory; experience in AI-driven tech projects is required.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
- Background in academic research is highly valued.
- Experience in mentoring, upskilling, or managing teams is required.
