Liberty Global’s Strategy & Corporate Development Group
- Liberty Global’s Strategy Group has four primary functions:
- Guide the overall LG Group Strategy
- Mergers & Acquisitions - Liberty is an acquisitive company looking at acquisitions across the TMT space, The Group Strategy team plays a key role in the process
- Specific strategic evaluation – the Strategy Group actively monitors and formulates the Group’s strategy regarding specific market developments and their likely impact on the Group
- Help assess and challenge each countries Strategic & Financial Long Range Plan
The team works closely with other teams across Liberty Global (e.g. M&A, Finance and Technology Strategy, Regulatory, etc.), Strategy, Commercial and Digital functions in our Operating companies, and Strategy & M&A teams with our Joint Venture partners
What will you be doing?
- Report to the VP, Corporate Strategy
- Focus on data related Strategic topics. This will include: understanding our data and then developing use cases for the data including direct and indirect monetisation opportunities
- To build close working relationships with other data focussed teams across the federation
- You will gain exposure to a number of traditional Telecom (broadband, mobile, video) related strategy projects
- Lead major strategic/corporate development workstreams or projects
- Lead and support team members to do robust quantitative analysis to drive strategic insights and recommendations around opportunities and threats to Liberty Global
- Business planning and synergy quantification for acquisitions
- Turn your (and the teams) analysis into structured material and present it to key partners
- Help develop & mentor the managers, analysts and grads in the team
- Build strong relationships with colleagues across the group and externally
