Description:


We are looking for an experienced industry expert with substantial experience in the chemical and fertiliser sector to join our team as the Director of Ammonia-Urea Market Analysis. Reporting to the VP, Research and Analysis you will help shape our understanding of global ammonia-urea markets and driving our consulting services to new heights.

You Will

  • Supply-Demand Modelling: Develop and maintain short- and long-term supply/demand models, including updates to the capacity database and quarterly supply/demand balances. Collaborate with the global Syngas team to review long-term supply/demand balances for use in published World Analyses and consulting projects.
  • Team Leadership: Assume line management responsibility for the ammonia-urea analyst, providing guidance and mentorship to foster professional growth and expertise within the team.
  • Econometric Modelling: Manage and update econometric models that determine production cash costs and margins, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Client Support: Provide exceptional support to existing clients, focusing on expanding Chemical Market Analytics' presence within client organisations by delivering valuable insights and promoting client relationships.
  • Proactive Marketing: Promote our related services to meet annual growth goals. This includes conducting sales calls, integrating client visit programmes, establishing strong connections with industry associations, and delivering market presentations at client meetings and industry conferences.
  • Market Analysis: Produce comprehensive written market analyses and well-founded forecasts for quarterly, annual, and ad hoc supply-demand analyses.
  • Consulting Project Leadership: Collaborate with the Business Consulting Group, taking the lead on ammonia-urea projects. This may involve leading or participating in face-to-face or virtual client meetings and preparing interim and final single-client deliverables.
  • Interdepartmental Liaison: Work with the global Methanol team on projects that require analysis of both Methanol and Ammonia markets, ensuring seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Regular travel, visiting existing clients, and nurturing relationships with potential clients. Attend internal and external chemical or fertiliser conferences to stay updated on industry developments.

You Have

  • Demonstrable experience in the chemical/fertiliser industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, economics/business, or related field.
  • Expertise in supply-demand modelling and market analysis.
  • Team management experience.
