Digital Tagging Specialist

Due to continuing growth and development of Merlin’s attractions and brands on a global scale, we are looking for a Digital Tagging Specialist to join our eCommerce team on a permanent basis. The role can be based at any Merlin UK site or attraction, with a hybrid element for those looking for more flexibility.
Embark on an exciting role as a Tagging and Tracking pro within Merlin's dynamic digital realm. Reporting to the Digital Data Analyst, you'll play a pivotal part in designing, implementing, and elevating Merlin's tagging and tracking capabilities.
As a beacon of expertise, your key objectives involve crafting and testing tagging configurations, ensuring seamless collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. You will wield your skills to maintain the tag management platform and govern the web analytics platform, while also co-managing the influential OneTrust consent management platform across all Merlin sites.
You will make an impact in this role by governing data with precision, ensuring taxonomy, consistency, and quality reign supreme. Uncover opportunities to enhance web analytics, contributing to the improvement of internal business processes and elevating consumer experiences.
Your keen eye will identify data quality issues, uphold PII-sensitive data integrity, and adeptly navigate diverse data sources, resolving issues to uphold Merlin's digital excellence.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical job experience
• Experience from B2C eCommerce setting
• Reasonable experience with tag management solutions (preferably Google Tag Manager)
• Hands-on experience with implementing complex tagging configurations
• Strong understanding of data layer concepts and architecture
• Expertise with Google Analytics (preferably GA4)
• Expertise with JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Experience with OneTrust consent tool desirable
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent communications skills and stakeholder management
• Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to work outside and across silos and borders, to get things done and deliver results (including creativity in solving roadblocks)
