Description:
Adecco's specialist Property Services Division North have been commissioned to partner exclusively with a local housing association to assist them in recruiting a delivery focussed Development Manager on a permanent basis to work across the Leeds City Region.
Job Purpose
- Deliver viable new development opportunities in line WITH THE Corporate Plan, Business Plan, Financial Standing Orders and Development Policy.
- Work within the Association's Equality and Diversity Strategy and Action plan and ensure that Health and Safety responsibilities are carried out in line with the Association's Health and Safety Policy and procedures.
- Ensure the Value for Money, Procurement and Customer Care policies are applied to your duties and activities, as appropriate, and that you contribute to the organisation's culture in this regard.
- Work closely with the New Business Manager to ensure a seamless process from securing new business to scheme delivery.
Candidate Requirements
- Track record of initiating and encouraging service improvement and innovation
- Track record of effective programme and project management
- Experience of identifying, mitigating and managing risks
- Good understanding of procurement practice,
- Experience of setting, managing and reporting on budgets
- Track record of managing contracts successfully
- Broad understanding of the role of social housing providers and the interaction between different business areas
- Good knowledge and experience of the development process, including planning, building regulations and technical requirements, building contracts and compliance
- Detailed knowledge of the Homes England development process and bidding arrangements
Qualifications & Certifications
- Degree level or equivalent qualification / experience
- A relevant professional qualification is desirable but not essential
