We have a great opportunity with a family office business to join their IT team and provide desktop support to all their users and properties. You’ll be part of a small IT team, so will have the opportunity to expand on your IT support and networking knowledge.
Job description:
- Microsoft Office & Windows Desktop support – provide user advice, assistance and guidance on common desktop applications and respond to and resolve any issues.
- Support for internet services and associated Wi-Fi networks.
- Hardware specifications, equipment testing and procurement.
- Managing hardware warranty and support calls.
- PC and printer troubleshooting.
- Configuration and deployment of desktops/laptops to end users.
- Setting up and managing user profiles, including new starters & leavers.
- Liaising with ISPs & testing internet connections.
- Configuring and managing office wireless networks.
- Overseeing standard build processes and full documentation for all systems.
- Maintaining asset inventory.
- Routine desktop software/hardware maintenance, e.g., WSUS and manufacturer firmware updates.
- Responsibility for network health monitoring tools.
- Some responsibility for MDM/mobile device setup & support.
Experience required:
- Worked in a similar support role previously
- Experience in a Microsoft Office & Windows desktop environment
- Familiar with internet services and Wi-Fi in a business context
