Design Manager

Description:

As Design Manager you will be an important member of the wider Engineering Design Team and work closely with the Design Delivery Manager(s), Design Lead(s), and Principal Engineer(s). With line management responsibility for Design Leads & Principal Engineers.

The Design Manager will take ownership of the output and the success of design at a programme level and will be responsible for reporting on programme and budgets. Ensuring technical excellence, risk management and a commitment and adherence to the highest design standards in relation to safety, health and environment (SHE).

You will manage the provision of engineering design solutions from inception to completion of multi-disciplinary projects utilising in house resources, design partners and construction personnel.

Working alongside peers to ensure scheme designs adhere to client specifications and standards, operational requirements and retain appropriate levels of operational security.

About You:

At least 5 years' experience in a contracting / consulting environment

Degree in Engineering or other equivalent qualification

Chartered or working towards Professional Registration

Extensive knowledge of multi-disciplinary engineering design

Extensive knowledge of the Water Industry

Commercial and Contractual awareness

Team and Line management experience
