Deputy Head Teacher

Description:

We are currently seeking an Deputy Head Teacher based at our SEN School in Bridgnorth.

This school is a friendly and successful provision, currently supporting a number of vulnerable young children aged 7-18 years with special education needs. The school is also a base for our outreach services.

As a Deputy Head Teacher, you will be required:
 

• To provide leadership to the teaching team, enabling them to develop outstanding outcomes for our learners
• To act as a delegated authority in the absence of the Headteacher.
• To contribute to the educational and social development of each young person
• To form effective relationships with young people, their families (if appropriate) and external agencies
• To ensure that young people’s views and wishes are sought and acted upon where appropriate
• Ensure that appropriate resources and environment exist for individual pupils referred to the service, and that opportunity for inclusion are available to all our students
• To contribute to the relevant sections of the self-evaluation
• To liaise with other teachers and teaching assistants in the team to ensure effective deployment of resources
• To develop and to meet the needs of the school
