About the role

We are recruiting a Database and Web Engineer in the Database, Web and Information Services (DWIS) team within our IT department.

DWIS are a small team based across both sites in Liverpool and Southampton, who develop, maintain and support web-based information systems and services.

The postholder will work closely with stakeholders at all levels across the centre, in particular with colleagues in our Communications, Engagement and Strategic Business Development teams.

About you

You will be an experienced web developer with a working knowledge of developing and administering websites in an Apache Linux environment, ideally using the Drupal Content Management System (CMS). Experience of migrating websites from Drupal 7 to 10 is desirable.

You will have practical experience using HTML5, CSS, PHP, JavaScript and jQuery and a strong understanding of accessibility, cross browser compatibility, responsive web design, SEO principles and website security.
