This is a great opportunity for an experienced Data Steward to be part of a diverse risk analytics team and be actively involved in a broad range of initiatives.
Main Responsibilities
- Embed the Bank’s data governance framework within the Risk function to ensure consistent data management across the organisation
- Identify data quality issues, root causes and support their remediation. Collaborate cross functionally to identify data ownership, responsibilities and accountability
- Prepare the material to be presented in the regular data governance forum of the Risk function including the monitoring and reporting of key performance indicators and metrics related to data quality, governance and compliance
- Perform Data Lineage for various business outcomes of the Risk function
- Act as a liaison between the Risk function, other business functions, IT and data users to understand data needs and address issues
- Provide training and support to data users of the Risk function if and when required on data governance topics, tools and best practices

- A strong communicator that can build a network across the bank and collaborate cross-functionally while applying their technical skills to support the data governance and lineage activities of the team
- Relevant experience working with data governance within financial services;
- Be degree educated or equivalent, preferably in computer science, information management, data science or similar;
- Have a strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality principles and data management best practices;
- Be comfortable working with various MS Excel features such as formulas and pivot tables
- A basic knowledge of SAS and SQL is desirable, as well as a familiarity with regulatory requirements
