Description:

We are seeking an experienced CRM and Data Manager to take the lead on the implementation and ongoing development of the WMCA CRM system for the Business Growth West Midlands (BGWM) Service, ensuring effective capture of business data in support of this fast growing service.

As our CRM and Data Manager, you will play a key role in the success of BGWM, ensuring the effective management and utilisation of data to drive business growth and strategic decision-making.

 

Working across partners to ensure data from a number of organisations meets the needs of the service will be central to your role. You will bring your expertise in CRM systems, data management, along with excellence in stakeholder engagement to implement, and oversee the WMCA CRM system, ensuring it meets the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.

 

Please note this role is being advertised as a fixed term contract until 31 March 2025

 

What you will be doing

  • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing development of the WMCA CRM system for the BGWM Service.
  • Consolidate historic data systems (e.g., Growth Hubs) into a unified regional service.
  • Ensure the CRM system aligns with the needs of clients, funders, and external delivery partners.
  • Develop the WMCA business support data infrastructure into an effective regional ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with external and internal suppliers/developers, managing budgets and relationships to achieve agreed outcomes.
  • Facilitate timely, accurate, and effective data flow with partners, particularly for formal reporting and service/contract management.
  • Identify and leverage opportunities for the BGWM CRM solution to advance wider organisational goals.
  • Champion a solutions-focused approach to system development, integrating new initiatives, projects, and programs.
  • Maintain data integrity, timeliness, and accuracy adhering to relevant legislation (e.g., GDPR).
  • Advise and support internal clients on effective and compliant data collection and utilisation practices.
  • Analyse and report data to inform broader policy and strategy development.
  • Provide support and guidance to BGWM partners (particularly local authorities) on their systems and integration with the with the central system.

 

About you

  • Proven experience in the development, design, and implementation of CRM systems.
  • Collaborative approach to developing data solutions.
  • Expertise in establishing systems for effective data presentation.
  • In-depth knowledge of public sector funding compliance processes and procedures.
  • Ability to advise and support internal and external clients on data capture and reporting practices.
  • Proficiency in relevant system apps (e.g., Power BI).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Delivery-focused mindset with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
