Creative Studio Manager

 

Description:

The Creative Talent Manager position is a pivotal role within our creative team, requiring a unique blend of creative expertise, leadership skills, and project management abilities. You will lead the attraction of new talent, strategies to retain and develop our current team, and look to continue build our MMM Creative employee brand inside out. You will lead on engagement initiatives, become a wellbeing ambassador, create a development culture, and keep our people at the centre of everything we do.

Talent Acquisition:
 

  • Identify, source, and attract top creative talent through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and industry-specific platforms.
  • Conduct interviews, portfolio reviews, and assessments to evaluate candidates' creative skills and cultural fit. Collaborate with department heads to understand their talent requirements and align recruitment efforts accordingly.
     

Onboarding and Integration:
 

  • Facilitate a smooth onboarding process for new creative hires, ensuring they are well-equipped to contribute to projects from day one.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work culture by assisting new employees in adapting to the company's values and practices.
     

Talent Development:
 

  • Work closely with creative teams to identify growth and development opportunities for existing talent.
  • Develop and implement training programs and mentorship initiatives to enhance the skills and capabilities of creative professionals.
  • Act as a mentor, offering guidance and support to individual team members in achieving their professional goals.
     

Performance Management:
 

  • Establish clear performance expectations and KPIs for creative talent.
  • Design and implement capability frameworks to support career development and pathways.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to help team members achieve their goals.
     

Retention and Engagement:
 

  • Implement strategies to foster a positive work environment and enhance employee satisfaction among creative professionals.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes work-life balance, wellbeing, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Lead on the action plans each year for the employee engagement survey – WWTK
  • Lead on the engagement strategies that promotes work-life balance, wellbeing and diversity & inclusion initiatives.
  • Supporting the Group Creative Director on the people strategy and deliver on key people activities.
     

Talent Pipeline:
 

  • Create and maintain a talent pipeline to anticipate and address future talent needs.
  • Lead the talent review process
  • Stay updated on industry trends and market changes to ensure our organization remains competitive in attracting creative talent.
     

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Essential:
 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Desirable - Proven experience in talent acquisition and management, particularly in creative industries.
  • Strong understanding of creative roles and skillsets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with creative professionals.
  • Familiarity with talent management tools.
  • A passion for nurturing creative talent and contributing to the success of creative projects.
