The Performance at the University of Westminster project has been developed in line with the Being Westminster strategy to establish and maintain the University’s position as a place of rich and diverse cultural performance with students as agents and as beneficiaries. The project will make use of a range of historical central London and Harrow venues including, but not limited to, Fyvie Hall, Portland Hall, Regent Street Cinema, Soho Poly Theatre and Ambika P3.
The Creative Projects Manager will report into the Creative Projects Group and will be responsible for managing and directing students who will see the project through from creative idea to delivery, using project management and delivery approaches and tools for delivery and evaluation.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience developing events with external parties and stakeholders. They will have strong project management capabilities and the skills to work with diverse groups of students. The post holder will have demonstrable skills in building connections with other cultural and educational organisations locally to build lasting networks for performance events.
The role requires an understanding of the current London culture and performance market, combined with a proven track record supervising staff and events both in-house and with external event managers.
The post holder will demonstrate they can be pro-active, flexible and have an ability to prioritise a varied and demanding portfolio of work.
