Description:
The Corporate Sustainable Manager will collaborate closely with the Head of ESG and Sustainability, a Sustainability Social Value Manager, and other key stakeholders to uphold and fulfil the companies sustainability commitments. The Manager will play a pivotal role in collecting and analysing data to quantify the carbon footprint associated with business operations. Possessing expertise in Corporate Social Responsibility and/or Social Value, the Manager will leverage strong writing skills to craft policies and bid responses aligned with ESG & Sustainability corporate objectives. Additionally, the Manager will be responsible for engaging internal stakeholders and leading external outreach initiatives in collaboration with the marketing team to support corporate strategies.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the maintenance of Planet Mark Net Zero accreditation by collecting and analysing data for reporting on the carbon footprint associated with business operations.
• Coordinate sustainability initiatives and take the lead in managing the Sustainability Champions Group.
• Support the marketing department in enhancing internal and external sustainability narrative through the creation of collaterals, blogs, and communication campaigns.
• Engage with suppliers to integrate sustainability and ethical considerations into procurement and supplier management processes.
• Establish sustainable procurement initiatives and ensure the continuous updating of scope 3 data collection and reporting.
• Support the disclosure and reporting of the company's carbon and energy data, such as ESOS and SECR.
• Coordinate ESG & Sustainability training initiatives for internal teams.
• Develop and maintain waste policy and objectives delivery in line with ISO14001 requirements.
• Formulate Corporate Social Responsibility and/or Social Value policies.
• Assist in bid and tender responses related to ESG & Sustainability service delivery, as well as corporate objectives.
• Engage with internal stakeholders to implement initiatives supporting corporate strategy.
Requirements:
• Demonstrated self-starter traits.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in a property environment or similar corporate sustainability role.
• Clear evidence of designing a sustainable strategy and the ability to implement initiatives to support it.
• Strong understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and clear evidence of implementing its key issues (Community engagement, communications strategies, sustainable strategies, stakeholder engagement).
• Familiarity with carbon reporting, Corporate Social Responsibility and/or Social Value.
• Knowledge of circular economy principles and the waste hierarchy.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with high level stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills.
• Knowledge of sustainability-focused communication campaigns.
