Corporate Solicitor

 

Description:

As a Corporate Partner, you would be a key figure within the Scottish practice, responsible for growing and developing your practice as part of the wider Corporate offering. You would be joining a dynamic Corporate team operating across Edinburgh and Glasgow which has a strong reputation for advising on Scottish, national and international transactions for high calibre clients. You would advise on a broad spectrum of corporate transactional matters, whilst working closely with the existing team to build and maintain strong client relationships, provide strategic advice and contribute to the strategic growth and development of the firm.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in the growth and success of the Corporate practice in Scotland.
  • Generate and manage a diverse caseload of corporate matters with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and/or private equity and venture capital transactions.
  • Nurture and expand client relationships, providing high-quality legal advice and solutions.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and business development initiatives of the firm.
  • Cultivate and maintain client relationships, offering strategic and commercially astute advice.
  • Collaborate with partners, lawyers, and support staff to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.

 

Requirements:

  • Significant experience as a corporate lawyer, at Partner level.
  • A solid portfolio of profitable, scalable and brand-enhancing client relationships that will contribute to the growth of the practice.
  • Expertise in handling complex corporate transactions and providing strategic advice.
  • Proven track record in client development and retention.
  • Qualified to practice law in Scotland or England and Wales.
