Inventum Group is pleased to be partnering on an exclusive basis, with a global financial services platform, who have experienced amazing growth via acquisition and are seeking additional Legal Counsel to strengthen in their legal team.

The Group provides comprehensive breadth and depth of coverage across four core services: Market Making, Clearing, Hedging and Investment Solutions and Agency and Execution. It has a major franchise in many major metals, energy and agricultural products, executing around 50 million trades and clearing 205 million contracts in 2022. The Group provides access to the world’s major commodity markets, covering a broad range of clients that include some of the largest commodity producers, consumers and traders, banks, hedge funds and asset managers.

As a Corporate M&A Counsel working within the legal team you will be supporting on international merger and acquisition matters, as well as using your corporate legal skills to advise on wider matters.

The legal team is exactly that, a team. They are collaborative, and solutions focused and enjoy strong partnerships with the business and leadership teams.

To be considered for this role you will need;

• To be a qualified lawyer of 4+ PQE (any jurisdiction)
• To have experience of acting on complex, cross-border transactions with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions gained either in private practice or in-house
• To be skilled at drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements
• To have proved experience of working in heavily regulated environments, financial services
• To be adept at partnering with business stakeholders and be solutions focused
