Description:
Working as part of the Claims Function to lead an individual/group of individuals to identify and deliver sustainable CI initiatives as well as working on own projects. The role requires an ability to influence outcomes at all levels and will be required to deliver tangible sustainable improvements across the Function. The role requires the ability to be both flexible and adaptable in supporting and coordinating a group of individuals to deliver the Claims Function’s objectives and targets.
General and diverse knowledge of Claims, Marsh Operations and the wider Marsh business including its systems and processes will be required either initially or built up over time. Although the role is within the Claims Function there will need to be a close working relationship with the other Operations Functions to ensure alignment in opportunities.
We will rely on you to
- Attain, develop and maintain comprehensive industry sector and Continuous Improvement (CI)knowledge and skills
- A broad understanding of the Marsh business
- A strong internal network including: Operations, the business, IT, Risk and Compliance, Finance etc.
- Knowledge of technological solutions available and ability to recognise suitability
- A situational awareness of the details of a change/improvement including the groups being impacted and broader implications
- Stakeholder management
- Identify risks associated with change/improvements and development of mitigations
- Identify opportunities presented by externally driven change and maximize
- Ensure appropriate production and maintenance of documentation in support of change/initiatives (as required) including process maps, RAID logs, training plans, communication plans, management updates, benefit calculations business requirements, functional specs etc.
- Identification of new CI opportunities, maintenance of a “hopper” and prioritization.
- Maintain oversight of the status of each initiative such that management updates can be provided including RAG status
- Analyse specific changes/improvements to quantify the impact and maximize the benefit.
- Where appropriate provide hands on support as changes/improvements are rolled out
- Develop MI to identify and track improvement in specific areas of the business as required
- Take responsibility for development of personal skills and competencies in line with agreed development plan.
- Where required visit other Marsh offices in support of change activities
- Adhere to the Marsh E&O and Compliance Standards; Safety, Health and Environment Policy; and Departmental Procedures and Guidelines.
