Community Lead

 

Description:

We want you to lead the management and further development of this programme, to make sure it meets agreed success metrics and targets.

You will be tasked to raise awareness of this programme internally across the business, externally to members and to anyone in the community who needs access to free, face-to-face advice. You will also leverage the programme to raise awareness of YBS nationally through social and media coverage. You will be comfortable digesting multiple data sources and translating them into key messages and communications for different audiences.

Relationship development is a critical requirement of this role, you need to engage and enthuse people at all levels from colleagues in branch, internal office departments, as well as build a strong relationship with the Citizens Advice partnership team.

The Social Purpose and Sustainability team oversee the YBS ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) strategy, built around our Purpose, and manages all Community activities across the Society, including the YBS Charitable Foundation, our strategic charity partner, our ongoing partnership with Citizens Advice, and a wide range of strategic volunteering programmes, including Money Minds, our financial education programme.

About you

  • Previous experience of delivering and growing community programmes / charity partnerships
  • Great relationship management skills and experience engaging with charities and other third parties
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to engage others at all levels
  • Strong organisational abilities with capacity to work on multiple activities simultaneously
  • Ability to manage, analyse and interpret data
