Description:
CCW is seeking a Communications Officer to join its dynamic team and help represent the independent voice for water consumers in England and Wales. As part of a small yet powerful campaigning organisation, you will contribute to raising awareness, communicating with media, and engaging key stakeholders across the water sector. Your role will involve leading on major areas of campaigning, managing media relations, and developing communication strategies to influence the public, water companies, and policymakers.
Key Responsibilities:
Communications Duties:
- Develop and manage content to generate media coverage and promote CCW’s activities.
- Build relationships with local and regional media, proactively managing and responding to media inquiries.
- Engage elected members in England and Wales through effective communication strategies.
- Design and deliver key messaging and assets, including social media, podcasts, blogs, and working with partners.
- Contribute to event planning and execution to strengthen CCW’s campaign initiatives.
Campaigning:
- Lead on major areas of CCW’s campaigning work, including content creation and media relations.
- Develop and implement strategies that raise CCW’s public profile and influence the water sector.

Who We’re Looking For:
- Experience in communications, media relations, and public affairs.
- Proven ability to manage and implement campaigns, including social media and media relations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work proactively and respond to emerging opportunities and challenges.
