Role Summary

  • Strategizing and Execution: Spearheads the development and execution of commercial strategies, overseeing related initiatives such as schemes, incentives, and promotions. This encompasses not only legacy products but also extends to identifying fresh commercial opportunities. These insights are shared with senior leadership and marketing teams to enhance the portfolio value, drive business growth, and foster customer engagement.
  • Brand Performance Management: Takes charge of the heritage brands in the UK, ensuring alignment with revenue objectives. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to optimize return on investment (ROI) for these brands. Additionally, appoints third-party partners to promote relevant products and manages strategic partnerships, including generics distributors and homecare companies.
  • Tender and Discount Activities: Oversees tender and discount activities across the entire portfolio. Works closely with relevant customer groups, including CMU, CCGs/ICBs, and short-line stores.
  • Complex Contract Ownership: Manages an array of commercial contracts. Leads intricate negotiations with internal and external stakeholders, influencing decisions related to current and future offerings, schemes, incentives, and promotions. Utilizes in-depth data analysis to construct compelling business cases for introducing or sustaining these initiatives.

 

Key Experience

  • Education: University degree in business, commerce, finance, or related discipline; an advanced degree (e.g., MBA), preferred
  • Experience: 10+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including both Commercial Management / Excellence
  • Thorough understanding of the NHS structure for UK and HSE structure for Ireland
