Commercial Impact Development Manager

We are looking for a Commercial Impact Development Manager who will be responsible for the management and delivery of activities for the LINCAM (Greater Lincolnshire and North Cambridgeshire Fens) Ceres Agri-Tech Cluster. This includes the co-ordination and management of all aspects of LINCAM Cluster administration (project finances, impact activities, development of applications to LINCAM’s competitive funding pots, management and tracking of funded Agri-Tech projects, reporting, and meeting organisation). You will work closely with the LINCAM partnership to help source, co-create, and manage LINCAM collaborative projects with eligible HEIs across the UK and our civic partners, into opportunities that are attractive to industry and investors for deployment in the LINCAM region.

You will work with the Cambridge Enterprise team to develop skills in commercialising Agri-Tech and then utilise these skills to provide commercial support (technology co-creation, build commercial contacts and business development plans) for LINCAM. You will also help co-ordinate and deliver innovation training (networking and skills development) for university researchers who are working on Agri-Tech projects funded by the LINCAM cluster. This will involve interaction and co-ordination across LINCAM’s wide range of stakeholders including the LINCAM University partners Cambridge and Lincoln, Cambridge Enterprise Ltd, civic partners, Agri-techE network, HEIs across the UK, innovation businesses, farmers, and growers.

You will need to have a strong background in project management, knowledge of commercial environments, and an excellent track record for building relationships across a wide range of stakeholders (academics, businesses, and civic society). Knowledge of marketing and/or other aspects of the development and adoption of early-stage technology and commercialisation would be advantageous. Experience of Agri-Tech, Agriculture and/or Horticulture is also desirable.
