Description:
You will assist in identifying opportunities and developing new process improvement projects within finance and the wider business. You will provide financial information, analysis, and insight to business heads, and manage the day-to-day accounting whilst acting as a role model for business improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Providing financial and commercial analysis to management of business units.
- Supporting the development and implementation of best financial practices.
- Regular review and substantiation of the Group balance sheet, and key controls.
- Retain, develop and progress a finance professional who will report into this role.
- Perform monthly reviews with business heads to inform and help business achieve its goals.
- Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Involved in pricing decisions with our commercial team, making sure the financial impact is understood and that there is insight driven decisions.
- Be the business partner for the Operational Heads of Departments as well as the MD of the manufacturing business.
- Supporting the preparation of management reports.
- Responsible for the monthly consolidated management accounts, including variance analysis, highlighting exceptions to aid business decisions.
- Continuous improvement of the Group's monthly financial reporting process and controls.
- Preparation and posting of accounting journals where necessary.
- Provide technical accounting expertise for the Group's accounting and financial policies.
- Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist with annual budget and regular forecasting process.
- Assist in the planning and execution of the Group’s year end audit to ensure it is delivered on time.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Previous experience of business partnering in a commercial role and managing a team.
- Experience working in the Consumer Products / Services industry.
- A record of establishing and improving financial process.
- Advanced modelling skills including budgets, forecasts and 5-year plans.
- Strong management accounts and financial accounts experience.
